Asbestos is a naturally accruing mineral that was used in over 3000 products between 1900 and 1999. Asbestos products were vigorously promoted after World War 2. Most of which was used in the 1950, 60s, 70s and 80s. The blue and brown asbestos was banned in 1984 but the white chrysotile asbestos was still being used up until 1999.
